This is an unsightly topic. It brings up both painful memories and painful present experiences. But it needs to be acknowledged.
Some have been victimized by divorce; it wasn't their choice. Others have run headlong into it as a means of escape. Still others have sought it as a mean of revenge. The reasons for divorce are endless. But so are the pain and confusion it leaves in its wake.
Regardless of your personal experience, we all need to commit ourselves to helping our young people march toward a marriage that is truly "till death do us part." Maybe we can turn this thing around with God's help. The Gospel must prevail in the hearts of our young people. We must preach and model it with a never ending determination and a never tiring rest in the power of God.
