Esther 10:3 (ESV)- For Mordecai the Jew was second in rank to King Ahasuerus, and he was great among the Jews and popular with the multitude of his brothers, for he sought the welfare of his people and spoke peace to all his people.
Esther 1:19 (ESV) - ...that Vashti is never again to come before King Ahasuerus. And let the king give her royal position to another who is better than she.
Esther 2:17 (ESV) - ... the king loved Esther more than all the women, and she won grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins, so that he set the royal crown on her head and made her queen instead of Vashti.
Esther 3:5 (ESV) - And when Haman saw that Mordecai did not bow down or pay homage to him, Haman was filled with fury.
